is coming from a family with a dancing background helped her to grow as a sincere coveted artist of Rudrakshya Foundation. She commenced her journey in Odissiat the age of five under the tutelage of Sri Lingaraj Swain at Orissa Dance Academy.

At the age of sixteen, she came under the guidance of Shri Yudhisthir Nayak, with whom she nurtures herself till date. It has been an extraordinary privilege for Debashree to come under the able guidance of Shri Bichitrananda Swaim from Rudrakshya. She received several awards such as the National Youth award, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, The State Youth award, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Orissa, Senior National Scholarship for Odissi, Ministry of culture and Tourism, Government of India, Rajiv Gandhi Pratibha Puraskar from the Governor, Government of Orissa, Biju Patnaik award from the Chief Minister of Orissa, 44th Sringarmani award from the Sur Sringar Samsad, Mumbai, Doordarshan Graded artist for Orissa, Nrutya Visharad from Akhil Mohan Vidyalaya.

Her refreshing approach to odissi has won her many accolades and praise from dance lovers around the world. She has performed extensively with Rudrakshya in India and France, USA, Spain, Italy, Germany and South Korea.
