A Moment of Great Pride for Rudrakshya Foundation

With immense joy, pride and gratitude, Rudrakshya Foundation is delighted to share that our Founder-Director and revered Guru, Guru Sri Bichitrananda Swain, is receiving the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for 2024 from the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, in the presence of Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Tourism, Government of India, and Shri Rao Inderjit Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Planning, Statistics and Programme Implementation (Independent Charge) and Hon’ble Minister of State for Culture, Government of India, at the Investiture Ceremony on 13 August 2026 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi at 11.30 AM. 

This is a deeply cherished and historic moment for Guruji, Rudrakshya Foundation, his students, and the entire Odissi fraternity.

This prestigious national recognition is a tribute to his decades of dedication, discipline, devotion and tireless contribution to Odissi dance and the Guru-Shishya Parampara.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Sangeet Natak Akademi and the esteemed Jury for recognising and honouring Guruji’s lifelong contribution to the field of Odissi.
