TWINNING 2.0 (ODISSI)

Dear Friends,

If there is one Sutra performance you should not miss, it would have to be Twinning, an Odissi studio recital conceived by Datuk Ramli Ibrahim & Guru Bichitrananda Swain (Rudrakshya Foundation, Bhubaneswar), performed by four of their best dancers - Santosh Ram & Samir Panigrahi from Rudrakshya & Geethika Sree & Tan Mei Mei from Sutra. Twinning promises to be another unique collaboration of India and Malaysia, celebrating the 65 years anniversary of the two nations’ official diplomatic relations.

Do join us for this unique Odissi showcase on 16 & 17 June 2023 (Fri & Sat) at Sutra House, 8.30pm.

Entrance by donation at RM50.

OR you may want to lavish yourself on our specially designed dance and exhibition with sumptuous 3-course dinner - ‘Champur’. The culinary delight of ‘Champur’ will intensify the savouring of rasa of Twinning - the Odissi performance of two fabulous male dancers from Odisha dancing together with the two equally exquisite Malaysian apsaras... Then there is also the exhibition of paintings, ‘Pohon Beringin’ by Sutra's visual artist Mohd Suhaili, to further tantalise the pleasure of your visual enjoyment!
